Series: Move It

Sermon: What to See before moving day

Scripture: Mark 9:19-24

Mark 5:36

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."

Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

The eye—an incredible piece of machinery. After light passes through the lens it hits the retina where light-sensitive cells convert the information into pictures for the brain to interpret and all of this takes place in a few picoseconds as it is taking place in 127 million rods and cones on each eye. A continuous process that cannot be stopped.

The sensitivity of the eye is astounding. The retina’s photo cells require only about 1-2 photons to trigger a visual signal. It perceives a continuous range of color, yet distinguishes minute differences in shades. Adapt ion of the eye affords night vision, when images are reduced to black and white—rods predominate here and in full bright vision it’s the cones.

Evolutionists have tried to exclude god, but I submit to you the eye is just one of many things that prove the existence of a creator.

While some would have us to believe that somehow the eye gradually developed, upon logical analysis, we can know that would be inconceivable. Why?

It’s called an “Irreducible complexity.” This term means that all the parts are required to be available and working at the same time to function. —pupil, lens, muscles, rods, cones, nerves, brain, and more, all at the same time. The conclusion would be what is the point or reason for the eye, if all the others were not in place? What reason would there be for any part of our bodies if they were all independent of each other in the overall plan?

What could a partial eye do? What would cause it to be preserved? What would cause gradually formed parts to miraculously assemble themselves together to function as a whole?

When we consider all of this precision and complexity, the need for all the parts to work together so they can perform, it stands to reason and conclude, that the eye was designed. Gradual, naturalistic evolution is impossible. The question is, Who is the designer?

If you answer God is, then do you see what is in store for you and I? What lies ahead of today? What the future holds and Who is holding the future?

We as Christians see by way of faith through the revelation of God’s Word that has been passed down and given to us, Why?

For a purpose, for a move of God. Do you see it? God desires to move among us, but He needs you to see that.

What blocks our vision?

Ezekiel 28:14-15 PRIDE

"You were the anointed cherub who covers;

I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. [15] You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,

I also will reject you from being priest for Me;

Because you have forgotten the law of your God,

I also will forget your children.

OUR WANTING TO BE INDEPENDENT—TO DO OUR OWN THING.

CRITICAL SPIRITS—

Romans 2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.

LAZINESS

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

WANTING IT NOW, IMPATIENCE, TRYING TO DO THINGS WITHOUT THE GO AHEAD

Psalm 37:7, Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

AND Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait silently for God alone,

For my expectation is from Him.

LETTING OUR EMOTIONS RULE THE DAY

Nehemiah. 4:10 Then Judah said, "The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is so much rubbish that we are not able to build the wall."

Emotional rubbish will prevent you from moving!

Do you see what is stopping you?

Do you see what God wants of you?

Mark says—only believe, if you can believe…

God has never failed anyone who relied on His Word!

We are commanded to rest on His Word and in doing, you will not grow weary in well-doing—that is if you are a doer of God’s Word and not a hearer only!

Those who trust are like Mount Zion Psalm 125:1

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand all other things are sinking sand.

God’s plan for us is tremendous! We are only weak and helpless when we forget His visitation. His command—Matthew 7:7 "Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. Ask and it will be...given

Seek and you will….find, knock and it will...be opened!

To who? To you! To do what? To help our unbelief.

Do you see clearly that Jesus did not lie to you, but what He said is true!

You have unconquerable faith! The Holy Spirit abides in you, the King has come to fill and rule the body, to transform your life! A new creature was formed the day you said I do at the altar of the Lord—a new person manifested that day who gained power over all the powers of the evil one.

You were designed and filled by the Holy Spirit to bring forth a divine character, God’s character in you. Look and see the truth—1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s.

God saved, chose, equipped us, so that those bound by Satan may go free—Jesus said: He who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also, and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father—John 14:12

Rock! Rock solid—an emblem of a living faith—no devil, no power, no drug dealer, no gangster, no evil thing should remain where we are—whatever you loose on earth, whatever you bind—this is a living truth passed on to us to live in—do you see it?

Each of us has an awesome responsibility, because unless we believe and act on this truth, it will not operate in others! We won’t be able to pass it on!

Faith is an action—it’s a changing—if we dare to see, believe and receive what God has given. He is the author and finisher of our faith and expects His books to be best sellers.

We are told to be absolutely dependent upon God and let Jesus be the center of our lives. To live and move and have our beings touched, changed and moved by the Holy Spirit. He has made us who were once dead, come to life, to immortality through His gospel. 2 Tim. 1:10

Many wonderful things are in store for believers, if they can see this truth—believe, whatever you ask—seek—you will find—-knock it will open—greater shall you do.

Our problem is we can’t see past what little is in front of us. We are too busy looking at what we have and what we want, rather than seeing the big picture of what God has and wants for us—does He not care for you more than the sparrows who neither sow or reap?

It’s time to obey God. God called to Abraham to “Come out” Genesis 12:1-4—Why? Because He had wonderful things to tell him.

If you hear God and give your ear to Him, If you stand in His presence and let Him breathe on you, if you will believe and act on His Word—if you can only see this—

Then He will move—

Romans 4:20-21

He (Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, [21] and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, [21] sure that God would make good on what he had said.

Do you see what it takes? Do you have what it takes?

Can you see for yourself what you can do in the Name of Jesus?
