What do leaders do that other people don’t?
1. There is a vacuum of leadership today
Judges 2:10-11
”After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel. Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals.”
The cycle of the Judges:

2. People are dying for a Godly example

”He walked in all the ways of Jeroboam, son of Nebat and in his sin, which he had caused Israel to commit, so that they provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger by their worthless idols.”
Lesson #2:
Leadership is influence
1. Webster defines leadership as… one who leads, the guiding head
2. A leader’s most valued commodity is people
He who follows the crowd will never lead it. He who think he leads but no one follows is only taking a walk
What kind of a leader are you?
3. You are leading someone to something
Lesson #3:
Leadership is perilous
1. Leading a group somewhere is always a lot slower than going by yourself
2. Leadership takes time
3. Being a leader is being a servant
