Summary: Jesus Redeemed us from death

1)Death is reality (V8) All will die one day
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Eclesiastes 8:8 There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
But Jesus was victorius over death
2Timo1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Jesus' s authority over death
a) resurrection of child of Jairus
b) resurrection of Lazarus
Jesus have authority over death. So he will make your dead promises alive. The things you prayed and didn't get any answer. So you left it.
2)The redemption of soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:V8
But Jesus redeemed us
1Pet1:18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
a)forgiveness of sins,Eph 1:7
b)delivered us from the power of darkness Colo 1:13
c)forgiveness of sins Colo 1:14
d)delivered us from this present evil world Galat1:4
e)Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, Gala 3:13
f) redeemed from law Gal 4:5
g)redeemed us from all iniquity, Titus 2.14
4) confidence of a beliver V15
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.
5) warning for the God's people V17
17For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him
God is asking us to think for heavenly things
Colo 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God
2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth
