Summary: Our job, our task, our responsibility, our mission is to proclaim the gospel (To tell people what God has done for us).

Prospector and the cowboy-No, sir but I always wanted to.

We need to be motivated!

There is a story told about a man who was accused of some wrongdoing and was brought before a judge.

When the judge asked if he had an attorney to represent him, the man answered, "No, I can't afford one."

The judge replied, "Well, don't worry about that. I'll appoint a lawyer to represent you, and I will choose a real good one." "I appreciate that, Judge," answered the man. "But if you really want to appoint somebody to help me, what l need most is not a real good lawyer, but several real good witnesses!"

What I need most is not a good lawyer, but couple of good witness.

God doesn't need a couple of lawyers defending Him or to prove He exist, but some good witnesses to tell others what He has done for them!

Evangelism-To proclaim good news!

Our job, our task, our responsibility, our mission is to proclaim the gospel (To tell people what God has done for us).

God’s part is to save. 1 Cor. 3:6-7-I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

It is very important that we do our part!!!

A young girl was walking home from church on Sunday and said to her mother, "Mummy, didn't you tell me that God was so big that the world can't contain, that the earth is like His footstool, and that you can't see the end of Him." "That's right sweetheart," said her mother. "Well today we learned that God lives inside of me," said the little girl. "That's right too honey," replied her mother. "I'm confused. If God is so big that He can't even fit in the world, and He also lives inside of me, shouldn't people see Him coming out of me?"

Remember, Our Job Is Not To Make People Drink The Living Water!

Our Job Is To Make Them Thirsty!!

Sept. 1985, New Orleans pool, 200 people, 100 of them being lifeguards, celebrating no one drown that summer, Jerome Moody found in the pool.

"Rescue the Perishing"

Your mother-in-law is not your enemy; she's your mission field.

Your boss is not your enemy; he or she's your mission field.

Your co-worker is not your enemy; he or she's your mission field.

Now it came to pass that a group existed who called themselves fishermen. And, lo, there were many fish in waters all around. Streams and lakes were filled with fish, and they were all very hungry. Week after week, month after month, year after year, people who called themselves fishermen met in meetings and talked about their call to fish, the abundance of fish and how they really should go fishing.

They built large buildings for local fishing headquarters, and issued pleas on a regular basis for more fishermen. But they didn't fish. They organized a board to send out fishermen to other places where there were many fish. Their great vision and courage to speak out about fishing were seen in their promotional brochures and spirited rallies to wish these fishermen well. But the staff and committee members just never got around to fishing.

Large, elaborate training centers were built to teach fishermen how to fish. Persons with doctorates in "fishology" were hired to do the teaching. They did teach, but they didn't fish. After one stirring meeting on the "The Necessity of Fishing", one young fellow left the meeting and went fishing. He caught two outstanding fish. He was honored for his excellent catch and scheduled to visit all the big meetings, to tell about his experience. So he quit fishing to travel about telling his story. Now there were people around them who questioned their status as fishermen, and laughed at their clubs and rallies, when there was never any evidence of any fish being brought in. But they continued claiming to be fishermen, even if they never found time to fish. And Jesus said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men". Matt 4:191

If you were walking past your neighbors' house, and you looked in and saw that they were watching TV, but you also saw that their house was on fire, you'd rush up and bang on the door yelling: "Your house is on fire!" You wouldn't stand there saying, "Aw, I don't know. They look so happy and they're having such a nice time. They're right in the middle of a movie. Maybe they'll be upset." If you told them, would you be considered a lunatic? No! You'd be a hero. But not till after they realized what you're saying was true.
