VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. We are the good soil/ground that got drunk from the rain

"For the soil which has drunk the rain that repeatedly falls upon it"

Matthew 13:8 (Amplified Bible)

13:8 Other seeds fell on good soil, and yielded grain—some a hundred times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some thirty.

Joel 2:25-26 (Amplified Bible)

2:25 And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you.

2:26 And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame.

B. We are the good soil/ground that produces useful vegetation

"and produces vegetation useful to those for whose benefit it is cultivated"

Mark 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

4:8 And other seed [of the same kind] fell into good (well-adapted) soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing, and yielded up to thirty times as much, and sixty times as much, and even a hundred times as much as had been sown.

We are so blessed to be a blessing to others.

C. We are the good soil/ground that partakes of a blessing from GOD

"partakes of a blessing from God."

Isaiah 55:10-11 (Amplified Bible)

55:10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Rain symbolizes the HOLY SPIRIT. Without the HOLY SPIRIT, our own doings and efforts are empty and will not yield useful vegetation and useful fruits for us.
