Summary: People that have backslidden can be restored, but the walls of faith, hope and love not only for God, but for all God's children must be rebuilt.

Nehemiah 6:15-16

15 So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. 16 When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God. (NLT)

Intro:

Nehemiah-Jehovah comforts

Background of Nehemiah:

Don’t talk about it be about it!

Let us build up the wall of Jerusalem (2:17)

Workers and prayer warriors (4:16)

Body

Rebuild:

Christian wall

Foundation is Christ:

1 cor. 3:11

11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (NLT)

Ephes. 3:20

20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

There are 3 walls

1 cor 13:13

13 And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love. (AMP)

You got to start with love!

Last days:

Acts 2:16-21

16 No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘In the last days,’ God says,

‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy.

Your young men will see visions,

and your old men will dream dreams.

18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit

even on my servants—men and women alike—

and they will prophesy.

19 And I will cause wonders in the heavens above

and signs on the earth below—

blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

20 The sun will become dark,

and the moon will turn blood red

before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.

21 But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD

will be saved.’ (NLT)

2 Tim. 3:1-5

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! (NLT)

Love in the last days:

Matthew 24:12-13

12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. (NLT)

Saint we must pray for our wall of love to be restored!

Praise, Repent, Ask and Yield

To God!

Conclusion

What shall we do?

Acts 2:38-40

38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away]—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” 40 Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” (NLT)

Thanks be to God for Jesus!
