Summary: In these most trying times, we need to know we can "recharge" our spiritual life with God’s saving power!

RECHARGING YOUR SPIRITUAL BATTERY

Eph 3:14-21

Introduction:

1. Do you ever feel spiritually drained?

2. Have you ever feel that the “spirit” has just been exhausted in your life?

3. We all feel this way from time to time; but an energetic Christian knows the cure!

a. We have to RECHARGE our spiritual batteries occasionally!

b. We have to renew our vows to that which we are married: as the bride of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

4. We need to be reminded that it is:

a. God that strengthens us

b. Establishes us in love

c. Is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or think

5. Let us make it our goal today~ to recharge our spiritual batteries before it is too late!

You ask~ How do we recharge our spiritual battery? We need to;

1. Reconnect to the people we love;

a. congregation, Lord [NEED TO BECOME INTIMATE]

b. Intimacy is-the freedom from anxiety-in the presence of vulnerability

c. Every person has the need for a friend, counselor, sounding board

d. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (Prov 27:17)

2. Restore our Physical Health. (diet, exercise, sleep)

a. Take time for yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually

3. Renew our Mindset

a. Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

b. 1 Pet 1:13-15 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

c. Get your head together! Refocus on what matters!

d. Avoid the peripherals

4. Return to your roots and remember your beginning (church at Ephesus)

a. Rev 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

5. Repent of the Sin in your Life

a. Romans 8:5-13 READ

6. Recapture your:

a. FAITH (Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

b. LOVE (John 14:23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

c. HOPE (Rom 15:4) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

7. Realize that God is working In you and Through You

a. 1 Cor 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

b. 2 Cor 6:1-2 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

c. Phil 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

8. Reassure your Heart

a. Prov 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

b. Ps 46:11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

c. “Be not afraid, for I am with you”

i. Joshua=people (Joshua 1:4-6)

ii. Lord to Paul (Acts 18; 9-11)

d. “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” Matt 28:20

9. Re-establish yourself in Christ (Eph 6:10ff)= “be strengthened” Armor

a. Zech 10:12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD. (God speaking of a returned Israel)

10. Respond to the needs of Others

a. Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith
