After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness).

His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.

He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.

And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses.

From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent).

And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, king of kings and lord of lords.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Is there a time that you're very happy but forgot to PRAISE and WORSHIP GOD? Our reason for rejoicing is GOD.

Psalms 37:4 (Amplified Bible)

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

If we're happy and it's not about GOD, not for GOD, then we're badly mistaken. Our happiness is based on failing sources.

A. Let us rejoice

"Let us rejoice"

To rejoice is to "to jump for joy", "exult", "glad with exceeding joy" Unfortunately, lotteries can do this to a person, but not GOD! Let us find our joy and reason for rejoicing from GOD and no one and nothing else.

Luke 1:47 (Amplified Bible)

And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

The reason is LORD JESUS CHRIST:

John 8:56 (Amplified Bible)

Your forefather Abraham was extremely happy at the hope and prospect of seeing My day (My incarnation); and he did see it and was delighted.

Hebrews 11:13 (Amplified Bible)

These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God’s] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth.

1 Peter 1:8 (Amplified Bible)

Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.

1 Peter 4:13 (Amplified Bible)

But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full of radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly].

B. Be glad

"and be glad"

Being glad is "to cheer". We cheer celebrities and sports players but not GOD. Unfortunately, only GOD is worthy to be PRAISE, HONOR and to be CHEERED AT!

John 20:20 (Amplified Bible)

So saying, He showed them His hands and His side. And when the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with joy (delight, exultation, ecstasy, rapture).

Acts 5:41 (Amplified Bible)

So they went out from the presence of the council (Sanhedrin), rejoicing that they were being counted worthy [dignified by the indignity] to suffer shame and be exposed to disgrace for [the sake of] His name.

Revelation 19:7 (Amplified Bible)

Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.

There's no reason to rejoice and be glad outside of CHRIST JESUS our LORD. Our reason to rejoice and being glad is internal, because the LORD JESUS CHRIST is in our hearts, not external. If you don't believe, try rejoicing when you suffer shame and disgrace?
