Summary: A Call To Remember Jesus’ sacrifice.

No one has greater love than this - to lay down his life for his friends. Today is a day we honor those who have fought for us, for this country, for what this country stands for - for the freedoms we have, for the ideals we have.

For that we say thank you. However, there is another - one who is greater than all of us, who came in humility, loved without condition and died willingly - to give us true life, to show us perfect love.

Jesus, the Son of God, came willingly to offered himself as a sacrifice for us. Shortly before his death, he gathered with his disciples for what has been referred to the the last supper or the Lord’s supper. In this moment, Jesus revealed the new covenant - based upon his sacrifice. Jesus said something so profound - do this in remembrance of me…he calls us to think, ponder, live in awe of what he was going to do and for us, what he did.

He said: REMEMBER!

R - Recall what he did for you! (1 Cor. 11:23-15)

E - Embrace the love he has for you! (1John 3:1)

M - Marvel at his wonderful grace! (Hebrews 4:16)

E - Echo the life of Christ by the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:15)

M - Make Jesus known by your words and deeds. (Col. 3:17)

B - Believe Jesus is enough! (Romans 6:10)

E - Exalt the name that is above all! (Phil. 2:9)

R - Run the race he has called you to! (Heb. 12:1)
