Proverbs 22:4 (Amplified Bible)

22:4 The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for I have already received riches, honor and life from You, the Source of Everything here on earth and in this life.

A. Reward of humility and fear of the LORD

"The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord"

Humility or "anavah" in Hebrew meaning:

1. condescension (voluntary humiliation) , modesty

2. gentleness, humility, meekness

Fear or "yirah" in Hebrew meaning:

1. fear

2. reverence

The word used is reward or by, can also mean compensation of humility and reverence for the LORD are not only one but three. The LORD is our Real Employer here on earth and we are His employees, He is the LORD and we are His servants.

Proverbs 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

3:16 Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor.

So it's clear that this life is not just life, but long satisfying life. We live 120 years because of the LORD.

Genesis 6:3 (Amplified Bible)

6:3 Then the Lord said, My Spirit shall not forever dwell and strive with man, for he also is flesh; but his days shall yet be 120 years.

1 Timothy 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

4:8 For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

Proverbs 21:21 (Amplified Bible)

21:21 He who earnestly seeks after and craves righteousness, mercy, and loving-kindness will find life in addition to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) and honor.

Matthew 5:6 (Amplified Bible)

5:6 Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!
