Summary: You don’t have to be #1 in order to feel like a succeess. #2 can be a really good place.
Nov. 28, 1999 Genesis 41:41-57
Satisfied with being #2
1. Being #2 is a place of exaltation. (vs. 41-43)
- responsibility “whole land of Egypt”
- authority “signet ring”
- comfort “robes of fine linen”
- respect “Make way!”
2. Being #2 is a place of acceptance. (vs. 44-45)
- of leadership “no one will lift hand or foot”
- of belonging “name . . . wife”
- of freedom / no restrictions “went throughout the land”
3. Being #2 is a place of productivity. (vs. 46-49)
- stored for the future
- stored according to level of efforts
- stored in over-abundance
4. Being #2 is a place of fulfillment. (vs. 50-52)
- leaving the past behind (vs. 50-51)
- enjoying the blessings of today (vs. 52)
5. Being #2 is a place of power. (vs. 53-57)
- for service
- for salvation
