Summary: When Jesus saves, He saves perfectly and eternally. He gives the believing sinner eternal life.

When Jesus saves, He saves perfectly and eternally. He gives the believing sinner eternal life. Many people who are saved and they know they are saved and that their salvation delivers them from eternal separation from God are satisfied to stop there. But salvation

consists of much more.

When the sinner is saved through faith in the finished work of Jesus, he is saved from the wrath to come (Romans 5:9). He is saved from the curse of the broken law (Galatians 3:10_ and from slavery of sin (Romans 6:16). He is saved from the corruption of the world (2nd Peter 1:4). He is saved from the selfishness of self (2nd Peter 2:10). He is saved from these to a new relationship with God (John 1:12), to eternal life (John 3:36), to newness of life (Romans 6:4), to holiness of character (Romans 6:22, to purity of heart

(Matthew 5:8), to the love of Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:14), and to liberty and victory over Satan (Revelation 12:11).

All that salvation brings to us is by God’s amazing grace (Ephesians 2:5-10). We are set free and sins atoned for by the blood of the Lamb of God, who was sent into this world to offer Himself as a sacrifice for sinful mankind. Because our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us and paid the penalty demand for the sins we have committed lives we live. Through His shed blood we are new creatures.

Saved from the guilt and penalty of sin we became a child of God. We are kept day by day and moment by moment by the power of God. One glorious day our Lord Jesus Christ will come for His own and we will be caught out of this world and saved from the presence of

sin, to see sin no more.

This glorious salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is a gift from God. There is nothing the sinner can do save himself or help God save him. The sin debt has been paid in full because Jesus came into this world to give His life as a ransom for

sinners. All God asks is that we have faith in the finished work of His Son, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Believe on His name and trust in His shed blood.

God has done all that He can do to keep us from being eternally separated from Him. Jesus has done all He can do. The Holy Spirit is doing all He can do. He is convicting sinners, calling them to turn from their wicked ways to righteousness. It is clearly stated in

John 1:12-13 Jesus came to His own but His own didn’t receive Him, but those who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be the children of God.

When the Jews finally demanded that Jesus be crucified and He was arrested and taken before Pilate, they would not enter the judgment hall because they would be defiled and not be able to eat the Passover. These were religious people, but their religion blinded

them to the fact they were demanding the death of the One who had come to save them.

In local churches there are people who are so busy with their religious activites that they have no time to be saved. They are busy keeping the denominational machinery running, attending meetings and conferences, serving on committees they have failed to take the

time to recognize their lost condition. Although they do not demand the death of Jesus or deny He is the Son of God they are doing what the Jews who rejected Him and demanded His death did.

Here is the good news. Those who believe on the name of Jesus is not condemned. Those who believe on the name of Jesus have everlasting life. Those who believe on the name of Jesus pass from death into life. We are saved by grace through faith and not of works We

are saved according to God’s mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.

Whosoever shall call upon the name of Jesus, confess their sins, and confess that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved.
