Summary: To show that JESUS is compared to our food and drink because He is, without Him even the choicest food and drink can't satisfy us, but with Him even the most simplest as bowl of soup can fully satisfy us.

II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

To show that JESUS is compared to our food and drink because He is, without Him even the choicest food and drink can't satisfy us, but with Him even the most simplest as bowl of soup can fully satisfy us.

IV. TEXT:

Luke 12:29 (Amplified Bible)

12:29 And you, do not seek [by meditating and reasoning to inquire into] what you are to eat and what you are to drink; nor be of anxious (troubled) mind [unsettled, excited, worried, and in suspense];

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we are fully satisfied in You as our Food and Drink and we do this a lot of times as we can when we celebrate the LORD's supper/Holy Communion.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Seek or "zeteo" in Greek means:

1. to worship GOD

2. to plot against life

3. desire, endeavour, enquire, require, seek after for means

Seeking must only be applied to GOD, because whoever or whatever you're seeking, that's the one you worship. We worship GOD alone. The LORD JESUS CHRIST alone deserves our worship and He will be the One to add these things: food and drink to us.

Difference between career-oriented man and spiritual man:

1. Career-oriented man works hard seeking His food and drink and does not stop working even on Sundays.

Spiritual man works hard and labors to please GOD and all these things have been added to the spiritual man.

Matthew 6:33 (Amplified Bible)

6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (Amplified Bible)

15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].

2. Spiritual man worships hard in His job/work and is always present in worship services especially on Sundays.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

10:31 So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.

Luke 12:31 (Amplified Bible)

12:31 Only aim at and strive for and seek His kingdom, and all these things shall be supplied to you also.

Hard worshipper not hard worker is blessed by GOD.

Proverbs 10:22 (Amplified Bible)

10:22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].

A. The LORD is my Food

"And you, do not seek [by meditating and reasoning to inquire into] what you are to eat"

Eat or "phago" in Greek means: to eat meat

1 Corinthians 6:13 (Amplified Bible)

6:13 Food [is intended] for the stomach and the stomach for food, but God will finally end [the functions of] both and bring them to nothing. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but [is intended] for the Lord, and the Lord [is intended] for the body [o save, sanctify, and raise it again].

Philippians 3:19 (Amplified Bible)

3:19 They are doomed and their fate is eternal misery (perdition); their god is their stomach (their appetites, their sensuality) and they glory in their shame, siding with earthly things and being of their party.

Proverbs 13:25 (Amplified Bible)

13:25 The [uncompromisingly] righteous eats to his own satisfaction, but the stomach of the wicked is in want.

Only JESUS can satisfy us not even the choicest food and drink.

John 6:53 (Amplified Bible)

6:53 And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].
