Summary: When people drink wine they become influenced by it in a bad way. We need the wine of God! Which is not wine in the natural but indeed the spirit of God.

Deep Hunger for God is difficult to put into words, Even when we come to a place where we can express our heart before God, the words can take us by surprise.

The Psalmist used beautiful words to reflect a heart response to God

PSALM 42:1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. 2 I thirst for God, the living God.

Its only as inspired by the Holy Spirit, that we can express our words.

Recently at Cadungaloor the entry point of the Gospel into India via the Apostle Thomas I had such an anointing touched me. I was overwhelmed by the Spirit of God. Rendered speechless and unable to put into words the hunger for Gods presence.

At times such as this, words are not enough, sobbing and groans are all that come out of a heart overwhelmed. The very scent of the water of God’s presence renews and restores the soul again.

Job 14:7-9: "For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender shoots of it will not cease. Though its roots grow old in the earth and its stock dies in the ground, Yet through the scent of water it may bud and bring forth boughs like a young plant."

If the tree can sprout again at the very "scent of water", so too can we! When we pursue His presence with fire and passion in our heart. We will literally be able to recognize the "scent of the water of the Holy Spirit" being rained down upon us from His presence!

If we say "More of you Jesus "He says to us "more of you!" There is an anointing of godly romance falling upon the Earth, as the Lord seeks to draw his bride into a place of intimacy.

Many are seeking the Presence of God, because they know that in this place there are many blessings,

The truth is that they seek after the blessings, and not after the one who will bless us .

Song Of Songs 1: 2-4

2Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; For thy love is better than wine. 3Thine oils have a goodly fragrance; Thy name is as oil poured forth; Therefore do the virgins love thee. 4Draw me; we will run after thee: The king hath brought me into his chambers; We will be glad and rejoice in thee; We will make mention of thy love more than of wine: Rightly do they love thee.

This is beautiful Language! God (The king) is inviting his bride to love him and to be loved.

God would have his bride seek after Him,just for Him and him alone, the blessings will still come, but we have the benefit of being kissed by the creator, because we desire him above all else.

He is the initiator of this love affair.

John 15:16 "You did not choose me but I chose you!"

This is the beautiful thing about our relationship with Jesus, He chose you! He chose you because he loves you!

How much more could your bridegroom love you?

He laid down His life!

The Scripture says in Song of songs "Your love is better than wine"

When people drink wine they become influenced by it in a bad way.

We need the wine of God! Which is not wine in the natural but indeed the spirit of God.

Because when we become intoxicated in His love, we become abandoned to His influence!

Our cry! Fill me with your love Jesus,

Draw me away in your love Jesus!

Cause me to be intoxicated in your Love Jesus!

That sort of abandoned heart is possessed by that which it abandons itself to. Oh to abandon our hearts to Jesus, to be possessed by Jesus to be consumed in by his passion, and overwhelmed in His Love.

Lovesick we will go to the ends of the earth for our beloved, Nothing will stop us from proclaiming his glory.

When we enter into relationship with this King our Old culture and our own people now take second place

PSALM 45:

10 Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your homeland far away. 1 For your royal husband delights in your beauty; Honor him, for he is your lord.12 The princes of Tyre* will shower you with gifts. People of great wealth will entreat your favor.13 The bride, a princess, waits within her chamber, dressed in a gown woven with gold.14 In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids.15 What a joyful, enthusiastic procession as they enter the king’s palace!

We now belong to the King of Kings and to His People. First and foremost in our life is the King, and His kingdom. I am no longer a New Zealander first! I am a Child of the Kingdom of Heaven.
