Psalm 126 captures the Israelites' thanksgiving for God's miraculous provision in the past, their need for God now, and their faith that God will come through for them in the future. It is our song as well: God has done great things for us!

Some of you will undoubtedly think about losing a spouse or losing a child or grandchild, and the void left in your heart. Some will think about going to war. Some might ...read more

I and my fellow Airmen heard this a lot from our Drill Sgt at Lackland AFB way back in 1970. I don’t think many of us had much of a clue or a plan other than to get out of boot camp as soon as we could. I am afraid many Christians still do not know what they are going to do with their life.      | 4,217 views

When it comes to suffering, Paul calls us to forsake pity parties and glorify God. We can remember that Jesus shines through us, that our weaknesses glorify God, that we may be down but never out, and that our sufferings may bring eternal life to others.

2 Corinthians 4:5-12 Down but Not Out! A Christian need never suffer. At least that’s what some preachers might tell you. However, that is not the message of scripture. Jesus said, “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also” (John 15:20). We should expect no better treatment than that ...read more
