On the day of Pentecost, something incredible happened that had never happened before – the Holy Spirit came to reveal the sacred secret of God held hidden for all of eternity past.

“Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly” (Eph 3:2,3 NIV). There are two Greek words used in Scripture for the word “secret.” They are “Kruptos” and ...read more

Actions or works may not create faith but they can reveal the substance and form of a person’s faith. To me, works is our faith made visible. “For just as a body without the spirit is dead” … a corpse … “so faith without works is also dead” … a corpse (James 2:26).

[Put up picture of me on screen.] Let me tell you a little bit about that man in the photo. He was 40 years old when that picture was taken. He was 20 months sober at the time. Well … “sober” is not the right word. He was a dry drunk” … which means that he hadn’t picked up a drink in 20 ...read more

Contributed by James Wallace on Oct 22, 2018
     | 1,084 views

Some people miss the ultimate experience, in fact, any experience of God whatsoever--even those who claim to be born-again Christians. Why? It comes down to one little word that is pivotal, according to Jesus, in our experience of God.

Have you ever experienced God? Sometimes it's an unsettling question, isn't it? As born again Christians, we often bristle when people accuse us of being religious. At least I do. When they say something like that, I'm quick to explain to them that I don't think of myself so much as having a ...read more

Take the word “run,” for example, which according to dictionary.com, has over 179 different meanings for the word. ...read more
