After Jesus went to present His blood to His Father, He sat down on the right hand of His Father.

So many of us in the body of Christ do not yet fully understand the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus' terrible cry on the cross is answered in Psalm 22.

For Sermon Central researchers: I have posted a series of 15 sermons on the Psalms. In recent personal studies I have found the psalms to be richer and more thought-provoking than I had fully appreciated. I had too often swept swiftly through psalms without slowing down to inquire as thoroughly as ...read more

The account of Jesus' suffering and death on our behalf has become so familiar that if we are not careful we can skim right through it when reading the Bible and never give it a second thought. Let's look at it again to day with fresh eyes of wonder.

Let's stand and read together our memory Scripture for this first quarter of 2018. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 “Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us; if we are faithless, He ...read more

Psalm 22 is an amazing piece of literature. The way David writes this, you’d almost think he was standing at the cross because these events never took place in David's life, but instead were written 1,000 years before Christ's birth. Praise God!

Contributed by Jason Smith on Sep 25, 2013
     | 5,926 views

No matter what their emotions and attitudes were, they approached their God with their concerns. We see psalms of praise glorifying the Lord for who He is and what He has done ...read more
