II. The Declaration to Moses 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. A. The Sign of his Glory 18 I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. The Heavens declare it. Creation witnesses it. The Church embodies it. Christians should reflect it.

B. The Sign of his Goodness 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, C. The Sign of his Grace 19 and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

III. The Defence of Moses 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

With His own Hand, God did two wonderful things for Moses: First, the Lord placed Moses in the clift of the rock.

Then as the Lord passed by, He protected Moses with His own Hand.

The Lord Himself is the real Rock of our salvation!

The only way to safely see the glory of God is through the saving Hand of God.

IV. The Difference in Moses Ch 34

A. His Humility - 8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. B. His Holiness - 8 and worshipped C. His Honour - 29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
