SOWING SEEDS FOR AN ABUNDANT HARVEST OF BLESSINGS

***********************************************************

1.PROMISE

The Lord has promised to reward us for all the good seeds we sow in our life. The Lord wants us to sow good seeds so that we can get an abundant harvest in our lives. We cannot receive a harvest unless we sow the seed. We must begin sowing by faith and we must expect a harvest by faith. We must be strong in faith in order to be aggressive in sowing and diligent in reaping. Our good deeds can result in great blessings and make a significant difference in the lives of people. We can be a great blessing to the Kingdom of God if we are diligent in sowing seeds of love and kindness in the lives of people and we will surely receive great rewards and blessings in our lives. We will also receive divine favour and help in time of trouble, as the Lord will be faithful to deliver us , because we have cared for the poor and the needy. The Lord wants us to realise the power of a seed. A small mustard seed when planted grows into a large tree. We must keep sowing our seeds no matter how small they seem to be, because there is great power in a tiny seed.

HEBREWS 6:10

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.

MATTHEW 10:41-42

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

PSALM 41:1-3

Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.

The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.

ACTS 10:1-4

At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment.

He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.

One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!"

Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.

ECCLESIASTES 11:1-6

Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again.

Give portions to seven, yes to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

If clouds are full of water, they pour rain upon the earth. Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there will it lie.

Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

MARK 4:30-32

Again he said, "What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it?

It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.

Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade."

GENESIS 8:22

"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."

2. PATIENCE

We must have patience in order to experience the fulfillment of the promise. We must not lose our faith and confidence during the time of waiting. We must follow the example of those who inherited the promises through their faith and patience. We must keep on doing good without getting discouraged so that we can get a harvest of blessings at the right time . We must look for opportunities to do good especially to the people of God and keep on sowing good seeds. Then we can look forward with confidence to an abundant harvest of blessings in our life.
