Summary: Stop limiting God

TAKE THE LIMITS OFF

Psa 78:41 Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

Psa 78:42 They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

God is sovereign and in His sovereignty He can do whatever He wants to

do. So, He chose to give man a free will, which meant that now man

could decide whether or not he wanted God to work in his life or not,

thus limiting God or taking the limits off of God in his life!

Now anybody in their right mind wants to take the limits off of God and

let Him work freely in our lives so that we can live, prosper and be a

blessing to others.

Deu 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

Deu 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

The Prophet Isaiah, in Isaiah 59:1-2 (New King James Version) tells us: "Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. (vs. 2) But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear." Sin, irregardless of its degree, always has an effect - it separates us from Almighty God! It is a "cause and effect" principle: Sin is the cause and separation from Almighty God is the effect! It is the soul’s separation from God - the "Second Death"

Jer 5:23 But this people hath a revolting [turn away backsliding and a rebellious [ bitter disobey] heart; they are revolted [ turned off declined] and gone.

Jer 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Jer 5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Secondly, lack of faith will limit Almighty God! Jesus, the Christ, upon returning to His hometown of Nazareth, was rejected by His own town folks - and, we are told by the Disciple/Apostle Matthew, in Matthew 13:58 (NKJV): "And He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief."

The Disciple/Apostle Matthew tells about an incident with the Disciples of Jesus, the Christ, who had unsuccessfully attempted to cast out a demon! In Matthew 17:19-21 (NKJV), we are told: "Then the Disciples came to Jesus, privately, and said, ’Why could we not cast him out?’ (vs. 20) So Jesus said to them, ’Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say unto you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (vs. 21) However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.’"

intense narrowing of all our interests on earth and an immense broadening of our interest in God.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
