John 6:33-58

Prayer

A Gospel Call

33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. John 6:33

In this world there is sent out a gospel call to all mankind. This call is a call that will give life to all that accept it.

James 1:17 says; 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

What James 1:17 is telling us is; that every good gift and every perfect gift is form above, and comes down from the Father. That this call does not vary. It is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow.

God never changes!

A Promise to Believers

35 And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

As Christians you need not have to worry for Christ will provide that which you need and will comfort that which hurts.

We need not be spiritually hungry.

We need not worry about ever thirsting for salvation again.

A Saving Faith

48 I am the bread of life. John 6:48

It is continuous condition. The things that the world offers are only temperial. But what the Lord offers is everlasting.

46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. John 6:46-49

Jesus said that he who believeth on me hat everlasting life.

Jesus said I am that bread of Life. Truly Jesus is that manna that was sent down from heaven.

Eternal Life

58 This is the bread which came down from heaven--not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever. John 6:58

It is eternal life to all that receive this bread and partakes of it.

What good is a loaf of bread when you are starving and you won’t eat it?

What good is the Bread of Life if you are spiritually dying in your sins and won’t partake of it?

What good is a glass of water if you are dying of thirst and you refuse to drink it?

What good is the Water of Life if you are spiritually dying of thirst and you refuse to partake of it?

A gift is not a gift until you open it and experience it.
