Summary: The Toolbox necessary to STAY Christians

The Christian’s toolbox

Every Christian should have a toolbox of helpful things designed to help him STAY a Christian. Just as you would need a 15mm socket-wrench to change your OIL; You also need tools for being a better Christian.

The Apostle Paul gave us a “tool-box” checklist in (Eph 6:13-18) Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

NOTE: The Whole Armor of God will allow us to withstand and not fall, because an EVIL DAY is approaching and a Christian is to stand against the “Wiles of the Devil” (Eph 6:11) Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

A Christian needs, to be properly dressed with truth and righteousness. (Eph 6:14) Stand therefore, having your loins (body) girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; The breastplate protected the chest of the soldier. Arrows, swords and maces were deflected by this breastplate. Without his breastplate, a soldier wouldn’t stand a fighting chance. My son is a soldier in Afghanistan; his flak jacket has been shot 3 times. Without that protection, I would not have my son. How is your spiritual flak jacket?

A Christian Toolbox needs, GOOD SHOES. An army marches on its feet. How are your spiritual shoes? Are you wearing Flip/Flops or army boots? (Eph 6:15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Plain and simple The Word of God. That is what will Build Faith and ULTIMATELY save your souls.

A Christian toolbox needs a strong shield. (Eph6:16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. There will be fiery darts from the wicked. When you became a Christian, Satan drew a bulls-eye on your nose and Satan wants to take you down. Resist Him. Use that Shield of Faith.

A Christian Toolbox needs a helmet to protect your head. One good “Konk” on the head and Satan has you “OUT OF THE GAME.” Rest assured of your Salvation. (Eph 6:17) And take the helmet of salvation, Satan can’t take away your salvation, you can choose to give it up, but Satan can’t take it away.

A Christian toolbox needs a good sharp sword. I generally carry mine in a pocket and it is better than American Express “I never leave home without it.” (Eph 6:17) and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Finally a Christian’s toolbox needs Spiritual WD-40 to make things run right. (Eph 6:18) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Now I must say Spiritual WD-40 does not come in a can. But Prayer and supplication does indeed help things run better.

How is your Christian toolbox? Is it ready to stand against the wiles of the Devil?

To begin with: Are YOU a Christian?

Is your SOUL right with God?

Is your Heart right with God?

If you stood before God RIGHT NOW!

Are you LOST?

Jesus came and died for YOUR sins.

He didn’t have to; He gave up Heaven to be our sacrifice for sin. What are we willing to give up for Him? He gave up his life for us; can we give up sin for Him?

Believe that Jesus is the only Begotten Son of God? (John 8:24) “For if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

Repent of your past sins? Jesus said, “(Luke 13:3) “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Unless we repent, we perish. That is the consequence of SIN.

Confess that Jesus is the ONLY begotten Son of God? Jesus said in (Matt 10:32) “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Be baptized for the remission of sin, in the Name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost? (1 Peter 3:21) The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

The Baptistry is ready and today is the day of salvation,

Don’t wait, tomorrow may be too late.
