Summary: Do you work for a company that has an Open Door policy? We serve a God that does.

The Christians Open Door

Matthew 7:7-12

Through the shed blood of Jesus, we as Christians, have an open door to God and to the throne of grace. We have an open door to the holy of holies, to the unshakable riches of Christ. Many of us, however, stand at the door with a wistful eye and refuse to enter the grace that God has promised to them that love Him. Has there ever been a time when you wanted something yet were afraid to ask God for it, Why?

I. Ask and it Shall be Given You

A. For salvation – God will give it to you.

B. For forgiveness and God will forgive.

C. Ask for courage to witness for Christ and God will make you a Daniel.

D. Ask for a burden for others and God will make you a weeping Jeremiah.

E. Ask that the mountain be moved, and God will move it.

Note: The problem is not in moving mountains. If they need to be moved, we can dynamite them. It’s men that we need to move and normally the hardest of all is ourselves.

II. Seek and Ye Shall Find

A. Seek peace of mind and God will give it to you.

B. Seek victory in your Christian service and it shall be yours.

C. Seek fruit and you shall discover a tree burdened to the ground.

D. Seek God’s will and he will reveal it to you.

E. Seek to live a better life and God will give you knew strength.

F. Seek to study God’s word and God will make it a living book to you.

III. Knock and the Door Shall be Opened unto You

A. The door of course typifying Christ.

John 10:9; I am the door.

1. The bible says that there is a door to heaven but a wide gate to hell.

B. Everything we ask and seek of God must come through Christ.

“Whatsoever you ask in my name.”

C. Christ is the key that unlocks the door to God’s treasury.

Conclusion: is there a need in your life? Are you without power and courage and peace? If this is your condition, you are also without excuse because God says it is available to you and if you don’t have this, it is your fault entirely.

Ask in prayer – seek with an open heart and mind and knock with the boldness of the Son of God and all these things shall be added unto you!
