Summary: there’s always going to be something to take your focus off of the truth, someone telling you can’t do this or that, but God would have me tell you, you can. As long as you focus on Jesus your life coach, your guide and instructor, there’s no mountain you can’t climb

“Lead me on to the top of the mountain,

lead me safe to the other side,

take my hand dear Lord and guide me,

as long as you're going I don't mind the climb!”

Those are the lyrics from the song Lead me on, by the Ernest Carter Trio.

In life, everyone wants to go to the top of the mountain, very few enjoy the sights and memorable moments all along the way.

Jesus came so we could have life more abundant the Bible says, you could say Jesus came so we live and enjoy life on the mountain everyday of our lives and still be an understatement of God’s definition of abundant life.

With so much promised to the Christian and the kind of life and quality of life at stake, makes one wonder why, more of God’s children don’t take God’s Word and promises literally!

Any mountain climbing guide who has ever helped or directed someone to scale a mountain has said this to their clients. As long as you don’t get distracted and lose focus, and above all pay attention at all times to me and what I’m saying and telling you, you’ll be just fine and make it to the top. If not, there’s a real good chance you’re not going to make it!

In life, in your relationship with God, in your every waking moment, there will always be by the accusers design, distractions clambering for your attention to keep you from what your true focus should be on.

Miley Cyrus lyrics from the song the climb....

I can almost see it

That dream I'm dreaming but

There's a voice inside my head saying

You'll never reach it,

Every step I'm taking,

Every move I make feels

Lost with no direction

My faith is shaking but I

Gotta keep trying

Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side

It's the climb

The words to that song are a metaphor for life, there’s always going to be something to take your focus off of the truth, someone telling you can’t do this or that, but God would have me tell you, you can.

As long as you focus on Jesus your life coach, your guide and instructor, there’s no mountain you can’t climb and there’s nothing you can’t do or overcome!

Proverbs 3:3-6 NKJ

3. Let not mercy and truth forsake you;

Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart,

4. And so find favor and high esteem

In the sight of God and man.

5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6. In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.”

Far too many in society are not relying on God to direct their path, far too many are lost, daily led astray and can’t seem to find their way to the truth!

There is a war that is being waged for the soul of mankind, every waking moment of everyday! The devil has read the back of the book and knows everyday, this is do or die time! And everyday by his design comes with a new set of distractions, untrue’s and misleading’s of its own!

Think of the things that have happened since 911;

Who would’ve ever thought jet airliner brought down the World Trade Center’s?

Who would’ve ever thought we would have our children terrorized and shot to death while they were at school?

Who would’ve ever thought We would see pick up trucks and moving vans used as battering rams to run over people while they were vacationing?

Who would’ve ever thought we would have seen 10 bombs mailed to 10 politicians at the same time?

Who would’ve ever thought the idea of a woman’s right to choose, would lead to 40 million abortions?

Who would’ve ever thought we would’ve seen on TV, a good Christian conservative man with a 30 year stellar career, terrorized and made out to be a gang rapist, alcoholic and one of poor judgement in a job interview for a Supreme Court Justice, all by the devils design so he wouldn’t become one?

These are serious distractions, with one thing in mind, they are designed to eliminate your focus of God’s Love, abundant life and healing promises that is waiting for whosoever is willing to accept them and to be Loved!

“For you to comprehend how much God wants to really do for you and bless you. You have to first of all, understand how much he truly loves you! Because, when you understand how much He loves you. It makes it so much easier to trust Him and wait on His direction in your life!”
