Summary: Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ.

The Curse Word That Starts With an S (Submit)

Eph 5:21-24

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

22-24Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So, just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.

Ephesians 5:22

1) Christ, is the head or governor of the church, and the head of the man,

2) Man is the head or governor of the woman.

This is God’s ordinance, God does not want us to turn away from it.

The husband should not be a tyrant (oppressor - dictator - Bully),

The wife should not be the governor (Ruler-Director-Chief- Head).

To do so is perversion – Altering of the original Will or Intent.

It’s always going to be easier to make the mistake than to go through with the father’s methods

Your Husband represents an opening to your future

Your delay comes from your frustration and in your frustration you error because you don’t honor whom he has place over you and from that you don’t honor who is the chief cornerstone.

Philippians 2:3

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Rom 13:1-5

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.

Col 3:18

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
