Summary: We are created by God almighty. Our design is that of flesh and bones. Our flesh took on the lust of sin; it pulls against us every moment of our lives.

Hebrews 2:14Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

We are created by God almighty!

We are created by God almighty. Our design is that of flesh and bones. Our flesh took on the lust of sin; it pulls against us every moment of our lives.

The desire of the flesh pulls us into darkness.

God experienced life in the flesh through his son Jesus Christ who came to this earth and dwelled in a fleshly body.

He was tempted by the darkness and knows how it pulls on us.

He came to destroy the darkness, for he is the light. Satan is the prince of darkness.

We need to be careful not to over estimate the Satan, or even under estimate him.

There is also a danger of over indulging in the study of Satan.

The Satan holds the power over death.

God has power that supercedes Satan’s and Satan has power that supercedes mankind.

God’s kingdom is a kingdom of light.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

That is were we are to live in the light not in the darkness, for darkness leads to destruction.

Jesus Christ is the light and the light gives life.

The prince of darkness desires to sift us like wheat.

Satan’s kingdom is a kingdom of darkness.

Ephesians 5:11-14 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12For it is a shame even to speak of those things, which are done of them in secret. 13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

We take lightly the works of darkness; we embrace it and even bring it into our homes and share it with our children.

If you’re a Christian you’re allowing the darkness to enter and there is going to be conflict.

Wherever the Holy Spirit is actively working, Satan is raising up his head against it. Satan works through his demons. They sow discord and confusion.

We have nothing to fear.

Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

We must walk in the light.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Darkness tries to overcome the light.

John 3:19-21 “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.20 “For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.21 “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

When Jesus pours out his spirit in the last days, there will also be a great outpouring of demonic powers.

When Jesus comes, then Satan will be cast down to the Lake of Fire. Meanwhile Satan will increase his power upon the earth and mankind.

John 8:44 tells us Satan’s purpose

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

He is a deceiver that seeks to tempt us into doubting God’s Word.

Acts 26:18 ‘to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Taking possession of the lost and obsessing the saints.

Matthew 13:13-17 “Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.14 “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 1 ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’ 16 “But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 “for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
