Summary: A very simple but powerful message, easy to preach and easy to add to.

The Energizer Bunny

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Titus 3:1 (KJV)

We’ve all seen the commercial with the rabbit who can’t be destroyed because of it’s power supply. Every time some one comes up with a plan to destroy it, their power supply runs out before the bunny and the bunny gets away. I want you to notice three things about that bunny that perhaps we could apply to the Child of God.

I. Ever-ready: We need a readiness of mind

A. Ready to be offered to God. § 2 Tim. 4:6-8, esp. 6

B. Ready to witness. To be ready always to give an answer to every man for one’s hope. 1 Peter 3:15

C. Ready to work. Titus 3:1

D. Ready to Preach. Romans 1:15

II. Energized:

A. Acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

B. Zech. 4:6 (KJV)

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

C. Luke 10:19 (KJV)

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

III. Still Going: Unstoppable

1 Cor. 15:58 (KJV)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
