The Fight Within You

by

Dr. Gale A. Ragan-Reid

“Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.” (Matthew 15:25-27, King James Version)

Greetings In The Holy Name Of Jesus Yahshuah,

My brothers and sisters, you have heard folks say it is not the dog in the fight, it is the fight in the dog. I find myself drawing unto me men and women with battles inside of them, spilling over into the streets. I find myself drawing unto me men and women with wars inside of them, raging to the byways and highways. You hear the cries of terror and uncontrollable wanton ness coming out of brokenness.

Most importantly, I used my fist to hit down hard on the stand, for the battles and wars inside of you—-that fight that will not turn you loose, is beating you down inside and you undoubtedly feel you are losing the fight. Lord, save me. Lord, have mercy. Jesus wants you to bring all that fight within you that is spilling over into the streets and raging in the byways and highways, to the Word of God —- the passion of Christ, the fire of the Spirit, the well of water that springs up inside of you; bring all of that to the Prince of Peace.

More importantly, your wholeness is in Jesus Yahshuah, for the battle is the Lord’s battle. Let God fight the raging war inside of you. He is the avenger! Vengeance is mine saith the Lord [Romans 12;19, KJV].

Moreover, in the gospel readings, we find:

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." [Romans 12:19, KJV]. “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" [2 Thessalonians 1:7-9, KJV].

“For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people." [Hebrews 10:30, KJV].”Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." [Jude 1:7, KJV].

Henceforth, the passion of Christ coming out of the gospel hears your cries, heaven bound. And, the God you serve is a Mighty God. He will take care of you! His righteousness abounds to save you! In my reflection, not too

long ago, for the years escape by me so fast, sometimes you want to hold on to the best years and give the shameful years a swift kick, but you must know the shameful years made the best years because your best came out of your shame. I found myself praying to calm the battles and wars inside of me Psalm 35th chapter;

“Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
