Summary: When we live for Christ, talk Christ and believe Christ results will follow.

The Good News Does it All Text: Acts 14:8-10

And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. 9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.

Notice this man was without strength in his feet. Secondly, He was a cripple from his mothers womb. Thirdly, he had never walked. The Holy Spirit gives three different descriptions to emphasize how the man could not walk, and was facing a (seemingly) impossible situation.

However, according to these passages, when he heard Paul speak, he was filled with faith to be healed!

How was this man, filled with faith to be healed?

Romans 10:17NKJ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17 ASV So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Christos for Christ)

When Christ is preached or taught there will be an impartation of faith.

Going back to Acts 14, what was Paul speaking on when this man got healed?

Acts 14:7 say’s, and there they preached the gospel.

The gospel is the good news. When Christ is lifted up people will come and be saved, healed and delivered!

In Acts 13:38-39NKJ we can read one of Paul’s recorded sermons. 38.Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man (Jesus) is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; 39 and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Verse 39 again, and by Him everyone who believes is justified (freed) from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Moses couldn’t free anyone from their sins, but Jesus did!

Jesus’ death completely satisfied the demands of God’s law, making forgiveness of all sins available to all who believe.

Galatians 3:16NIV The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.

Colossians 2:13-14NIV When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

When this ‘good news’ (this gospel) hits your heart, it settles everything, every issue, hurt, and past, faith will raise up and do the impossible!

The more revelation you get inside of yourself about the finished work at the cross, the more impartation you receive.

Acts 3:1-8NKJ Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

Peter and John simply preached Jesus to the lame man.

When we get a revelation of the riches of the name of Jesus and His grace others will change.

Testimony: I know hundreds of men that don’t think they are good enough. (Works, legalism blind people and hold them back.)

Listen to the gospel that Paul preached. Acts 14:3NKJ Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

Listen to Galatians 1:1-8NKJ Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), 2 and all the brethren who are with me, 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
