Summary: For the believer that lives for more, this is your time to shine! It’s time for you to understand and experience Pentecost.

The Joy of Pentecost Acts 2:1-4

The NKJ Bible Acts 2:1-4 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Amplified Bible Acts 2:1-4 AND WHEN the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place, 2When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast, and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting.3And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them.4And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit [a]kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].

Introduction: For the believer that lives for more, this is your time to shine! It’s time for you to understand and experience Pentecost. It’s time for you to be diffused throughout your souls! Easter is our reminder of that resurrection power that Christ gave us. In the book of Acts 2: 16 Peter proclaims that this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.18. And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

I. There are no appointments necessary and no waiting line! God through His only Son Jesus has finished everything! Think back: Peter and Jesus’ other disciples were all failures until Christ ascended!

A. John 7: 37-39 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

B. Jesus came down on that last day of the feast and broke tradition by proclaiming to all for everyone to come to Him! All who are thirsty come and drink!

C. #1. Jesus paid the price for you to be filled with joy! John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

D. As Peter and the other disciples came out of that upper room they came out filled with joy like a drunken man! (This joy didn’t leak out of them; they didn’t hang around joy busters either!)

E. #2. Jesus Christ paid the price for every person in here to be filled with His Spirit!

F. Daniel was coming home with us Wednesday night and as we were going down the road he indicated that he wanted more of Jesus. Jenny and I prayed a short prayer, and Daniel at 9 years old started praying in the Spirit, and laughing. Thursday morning when he got up he was still praying and laughing all day! (God desires to fill everyone!)

G. Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

H. #3 Jesus Christ paid the price for you to receive power! Power for what? Power and authority to be His wittiness!

I. The devil is a liar and the father of lies! You have been given Godly authority to walk, talk and live like no woman or man has ever walked, talked and lived!

J. Confession: I am filled with joy, filled with His Spirit and filled with His power to wittiness!
