Summary: Probably the most publicized event in the Bible is the second coming of Jesus the Christ and the establishing of His kingdom and the King of kings.

The King of kings and Lord of lords

Revelation 19:11-21

The most publicized event in the Bible is the second coming of Jesus the Christ and the establishing of His kingdom. Here in this 19th chapter we get a glimpse of what this will be like.

1. The Second Coming

See: Vs.1 “And Behold a white horse”

Mention: Rev. 6:2 The last mentioning of a white horse we discovered the coming of the antichrist. He will bring about a temporary peace that will lead to war.

Mention: Daniel 8:25 and by peace shall destroy many

Here this one riding on the white horse is Jesus the Christ!

The names He is given:

See: Vs.11

• Faithful and True

See: Hebrews 10:19-23 For He is faithful that promised

Also: 1 Thessa. 5:23-24

• The Word of God

Mention: John 1, 14, 1 John 1:1 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth

See: Rev. 19:16

• King of kings, and Lord of lords

This title is given in one other book 1 Tim. 6:13-15

The last time Jesus rode He was taken later and judged, but this ride will be different because He will be the judge.

“And in righteousness He doth judge and make war”

• An unknown Name

See: Vs.12 I believe this is because He is indescribable

See: Vs.14 The armies which were in heaven followed Him (I do not know if this army are angels or saints, but I suspect saints beings that angels are viewed as riding horses).

2. The Supper of a Great God

See: Vs.17-19 Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

The beast and the kings of the earth will make war against the Lord

Mention: Rev. 16:13-16 speaks of the demonic influence that will be upon the world

“Gathered together”

Mention: Joel 3:9-14 The gather in what Joel calls the valley of Jehoshaphat

See: Rev. 19:13, 15

See: Isaiah 63:1-4 he will tread the wine press alone

“Out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword”

See: 2 Thessa. 2:8 The Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth

Mention: Rev. 14:20 Blood even unto the horse bridle

See: Ezekiel 39:17-19 This supper is prophesied by Ezekiel the prophet

See: Vs.21 The remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse

3. The Sentencing of the Beasts

See: Vs.20 the antichrist and the false prophet will be sentenced to the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Mention: Rev. 14:9-11 The followers of the antichrist will also be judged unto eternal damnation.

See: John 12:44-48 At His first coming He did not come to judge but to save world, but it will be different when He returns.

Question: Have you believed on Him?
