Message Point: Jesus is God’s perfect sacrifice.

Read: Genesis 22: 1-14

Ask: Have you ever seen a real blood sacrifice?

Describe baby naming sacrifice in Guinea.

Note: In these sacrifices, NOTHING was accomplished. The sacrifices were in vain. They did not please God, nor did they achieve anything.

Now, let’s take a look at a sacrifice that did accomplish something of eternal significance.

Read: Revelation 5: 1-13

Ask: Why was this sacrificial Lamb worthy? What makes the difference?

Examine: vs. 9-10

In HIS death was accomplished the Purpose of God, that is to provide a sacrifice good enough for God to accept. “God will provide the Lamb”. God HAS provided the Lamb. Jesus is the Lamb.

Read: John 1:29 “The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

If you want to know more about Jesus, read the Book! The whole Bible proclaims Jesus. It shows the mercy, grace and sacrifice of God towards man.
