I. EXORDIUM:

Yes. Psalms 28:8

To show that GOD, our LORD GOD, the LORD JESUS is both our Boldness (Strength) and our Fortified Place.

IV. TEXT:

Psalms 28:8

The Lord is their [unyielding] Strength, and He is the Stronghold of salvation to [me] His anointed.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are my Strength and my Fortified Place of Refuge.

VI. TITLE:

The LORD is our Saving Strength

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Authors: Authorship of many is uncertain, generally attributed to King David.

B. Date written: c. 1440 to 450 B.C. ( From Moses to Ezra)

C. Purpose: 150 songs to praise and worship GOD

D. To whom written: Sometimes to GOD, sometimes to author

E. Main Themes: praise and worship, prayer and praise

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The LORD is my Strength (Boldness)

"The Lord is their [unyielding] Strength,"

Psalms 2:2

The kings of the earth take their places; the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed One (the Messiah, the Christ). They say,

Acts 4:25-27

Who by the mouth of our forefather David, Your servant and child, said through the Holy Spirit, Why did the heathen (Gentiles) become wanton and insolent and rage, and the people imagine and study and plan vain (fruitless) things [that will not succeed]?

The kings of the earth took their stand in array [for attack] and the rulers were assembled and combined together against the Lord and against His Anointed (Christ, the Messiah).

For in this city there actually met and plotted together against Your holy Child and Servant Jesus, Whom You consecrated by anointing, both Herod and Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles and peoples of Israel,

Psalms 2:1-2

WHY DO the nations assemble with commotion [uproar and confusion of voices], and why do the people imagine (meditate upon and devise) an empty scheme?

The kings of the earth take their places; the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed One (the Messiah, the Christ). They say,

Psalms 20:6

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is my Strength and Boldness.

B. The LORD is my Stronghold or Fortified Place

"and He is the Stronghold of salvation to [me] His anointed"

Isaiah 61:1

THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

1 Samuel 16:13

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is also our Fortified Place of Refuge. A literal place where we can run if we need help, don't leave this fortified place, always abide and stay on it.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are my Strength and my Fortified Place of Refuge.
