I. GOD PROVIDES FOR HIS PEOPLE (VS. 1-3a)

A. He provides for their physical needs (v.2)

“He makes me lie down in green pastures”

B. He provides for their emotional needs (v.3a)

“He restores my soul”

C. He provides for their spiritual needs (v.3b)

“He leads me in path of righteousness”

II. GOD GUIDES HIS PEOPLE (V.4)

A. He walks with them in times of trouble (v.4a)

“For thou art with me”

B. He guides them in times of trouble (v.4b)

“The rod and staff”

C. He commune with them in times of trouble (v.4c)

“They comfort me”

III. GOD HOST HIS PEOPLE (S.5-6)

A. He gives them peace (v.5)

“Thou preparest table…in the presence of my enemy”

B. He gives them hope (v.6)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me”

C. He gives them comfort (v.6b)

“I shall dwell in the presence of the Lord forever”
