Summary: Years ago Pastor Alan Carr preached “A Marriage made in Heaven” where he talked about the marriage of the Lord Jesus as the catalyst for Heaven’s anthems of praise. Those in Heaven lift their voices in four “Hallelujah’s” (4 Specific praises to God)!

We have arrived at an exciting portion of the Bible. After the dark, dreary chapters from 6 to 18 these verses gleam with the glory of Heaven. We are going to talk about the marriage super of the Lamb. You see, for the church, the end times shape up like this: In the Rapture, we will be Caught Up; at the Judgment Seat of Christ, we will be Cleaned Up; and at the marriage supper of the Lamb, we will be Cheered Up! The Bible says after “These Things” John heard a great multitude…

There are two events highlighted within the text (The Marriage & The Supper).

1. The Rapture for the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

2. The Judgement Seat of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:9-15)

3. The Marriage of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-8)

4. False Peace Established with Israel

5. The 7 Year Tribulation (Revelation 4 – 19)

6. Six Sealed Judgements, The Trumpet & The Bowl Judgements

7. The Antichrist Revealed – The Abomination of Desolation

8. Two Powerful Witnesses of God are Slain in the Streets

9. The Second Coming of Christ with the Church (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

10. The Battle of Armageddon begins (Revelation 19:17–18)

11. Satan is Bound for 1000 years

12. The Millennium (1000 Year Reign of Christ on Earth)

13. The Resurrection of the Old Testament Saints (Revelation 20)

14. The Wedding Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9)

15. Before Satan is Released and the Final Battle and Earth is Destroyed

16. Before Satan, The False Prophet & The Beast are cast into the Lake of Fire

17. Before The Great White Throne Judgement (Revelation 20)

18. Before a New Heaven & a New Earth (Revelation 21)

I. V. 1-6 THE SAVIOR

Years ago Pastor Alan Carr preached “A Marriage made in Heaven” where he talked about the marriage of the Lord Jesus as the catalyst for Heaven’s anthems of praise. Those in Heaven lift their voices in four “Hallelujah’s” (4 Specific praises to God)!

A. V. 1 The Hallelujah Of God’s Salvation - Heaven praises the Lord for all He has done for them, (The cross, the blood, the empty grave) SALVATION – What was done on the cross; GLORY – What was done in Heaven; and POWER – What was done on earth!

B. V. 2-3 The Hallelujah Of God’s Sentence - The residents of Heaven praise the Lord for executing His judgment upon a lost, sinful and rebellious world! They know that His judgments are fair, they are right and they are perfect. The Whore (The Worlds Systems) will be judged for 2 crimes: She corrupted the earth with her immorality and she shed the blood of God’s servants!

C. V. 4-5 The Hallelujah Of God’s Sovereignty - These are the same 24 elders we spoke of last week and they are mentioned 6 times, (4:10; 5:8; 5:14; 7:11; 11:16; 19:4), and, every time they do, they are doing the same thing: falling on their faces and worshiping the Lord! The elders represent the redeemed of God falling down and praising the Lamb of God!

D. V. 6 The Hallelujah Of God’s Supremacy - Then, they praise the Lord for His reign. They glorify the Lord that, at last, He is honored, exalted and worshiped by all His creation! There are two heavenly words mentioned in verse 4! They are: “Amen” and “Hallelujah.” The word “Amen” is a word “signifying agreement with and approval of the Word of God.” When “Amen” appears at the beginning of a sentence, it means “truly”; it means “I agree” or “so be it”. “Amen” is said to be the most widely known word in the world! The word “Hallelujah” is a Hebrew word meaning “Praise the Lord”. If you and I intend to be in tune with Heaven, then we need to learn to use a little heavenly language. Therefore, learn to say “Amen!” and “Hallelujah!” If something you hear is true, you ought to say “Amen!” If the Lord is moving in your soul, you ought to say “Hallelujah!”

II. V. 7-8 THE SUPPER

Notice the words “is come”. For the Marriage of the Lamb is Come! These words imply a sense of relief that a long anticipated event has finally arrived. God’s plan for the ages is finally complete. Do you remember at the Last Supper when Jesus told His disciples that He will not drink wine again until He drinks it with them in the Kingdom? Since the Garden of Eden, God has been working to bring man back into fellowship with Him. This was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Now, all those who place their trust in Jesus are saved by the grace of God and brought nigh unto Him! On this day, we will not only be saved but also in His presence! This will be the most special moment in all the history of creation! It will be the moment when the Lamb of God takes His Bride unto Himself!
