THE MARVELOUS MAGNET

John 12:32-33

INTRO: Have you ever experimented with magnets? If you have, you have noticed hew they will attract objects to them, and they will rearrange metal filings into a different pattern from what it was in before.

This morning, we want to talk about a different kind of magnetic force, and the effect that it has on man’s life.

I. THE ATTRACTIVE FORCE WHICH LIES IN CHRIST.

A. He draws men to himself, not our Church.

B. He draws all men, some refuse to yield.

C. The force that draws men is love.

D. He draws them by the promise of rest.

E. He draws us by the change he works in other men before our eyes.

II. HOW IS THIS FORCE EXERCISED?

A. Through the holy spirit; but he uses instruments.

B. He draws men gradually. Some are brought to Christ by slow de

grees.

C. He draws men gently.

D. He draws men effectually. He who yields to his power is drawn to

righteousness.

III. WHAT DOES ALL THIS IMPLY?

A. That man, by nature, is a long way off from Christ.

B. Men will not come to Christ unless he draws them.

C. Are you coming? Come now.

This is the idea of what I was looking for to help me illustrate the drawing power of God. Thank you. George Salnave
