This man recievth sinners and eateth with them
He saved others, Himself He cannot consider
I. Various Views and Testimonies Concerning Christ
a. His own countrymen knew Him only as the carpenter or the carpenter’s son.
b. The Scribes and Pharisees as a winebibber, a glutton, a mover of sedation, a Samaritan, a devil, a sinner.
c. His Own: (Job) “My redeemer”, (David) “My Shepherd”, Solomon – My beloved, Peter – The Christ, Thomas My Lord, Mary – Rabboni
d. Angels Gabriel Thou shalt call his name Jesus – Heavenly Hosts – Unto you is born a Savior
e. God – This is my beloved Son, Thy Throne O God
II. Some of things built by this Carpenter
a. In His workshop at Nazareth; Agricultural implements – plows, harrows, yokes, etc
b. In the beginning of creation Gen 1:1 The World and all that therein is
c. The bridge of salvation spanning from earth to heaven
d. The Church Upon this rock I will build my church
e. Our Eternal Home John 14:2-3 Hebrews 11:10 Revelation 21:10-27
i. Behold the dignity of honest labor – An honorable means of maintenance – a worthy service to others
