The Mountain Top Experience

Summary: In Christ Ministry there are series of special events like, the Marriage in Cana, Sermon on the Mount, Washing of the Feet of the disciples and the Holy Communion Service and The Transfiguration. To mentioned just few.
Text: (Mark 9:2-9 KJV)
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
INTRODUCTION:-
In Christ Ministry there are series of special events like, the Marriage in Cana, Sermon on the Mount, Washing of the Feet of the disciples and the Holy Communion Service and The Transfiguration. To mentioned just few.
:- All these events were special. But the most special was the "Transfiguration Experience".
:- It was so special even to Jesus that it made Him to selected just three.
:- These three disciples were selected among many others for breakthrough.
WHAT DO I MEAN?
:- Psalm 24:4-5. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Psalms 24:3-5 KJV)
Says who shall ascend......."
- When the word of God uses Mountain of The Lord as illustration most a times he is talking about God's "PRESENCE".
And the word of God Says" In the presence of God there is fullness of joy and at right pleasures evermore".
:- Peter, James and John, were specially selected to get a direct out pour of anointing and impartation from God's heavenly thrown.
Mark 9:7 Just then a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and from deep in the cloud, a voice: “This is my Son, marked by my love. Listen to him.” (Mark 9:7 MSG)
Says a cloud came on them and a voice spoke from the cloud to them.
They were in God presence and God spoken to them
Moses stayed there with the Lord forty days and nights, eating and drinking nothing. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant — the Ten Commandments. When Moses went down from Mount Sinai carrying the Ten Commandments, his face was shining because he had been speaking with the Lord; but he did not know it. Aaron and all the people looked at Moses and saw that his face was shining, and they were afraid to go near him. (Exodus 34:28-30 GNB)
:- The bible says when Moses tarried in God's presence he received impartation such that the Israelites could not behold his face as a result of the glory of God that robbed him that was reflecting light.
:- When you are able to ascend to the mountain of The Lord. The presence of The Lord will consume every bondage and troubles in your life.
:- The bible says, For our God is a consuming fire.(Hebrews 12:29 KJV)
:- Darkness cannot withstand God's presence.
:- Sickness and Trouble can not withstand God.
- I prophesied because the presence of God is here "You will go back home liberated.
:- Because the system and power of darkness cannot withstand the presence of God.
Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (Daniel 3:22-25 KJV)
:- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were throned into the burning fire.
:- When they got into the fire, they found Jesus with them.
