Summary: I’m always amazed at the lack of endurance that is seen in the area of faith when it comes to the saints of God. Not trying to be funny at all, but overall the body of Christ is very lazy.

“The Power of Endurance”

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I’m always amazed at the lack of endurance that is seen in the area of faith when it comes to the saints of God. Not trying to be funny at all, but overall the body of Christ is very lazy.

In this verse Paul says he “counts not myself to have apprehended.” Many of us are always saying that we want more and doing less. When you see that you have not reached a place of obedience that opens the door to the thing that you desire from God it is a time to “PRESS”. Prayer is great and Prayer is needed for direction and guidance from God. We love to pray, but the physical reality of your dream or Goal is first prayed up then it has to be WORKED OUT.

Things that hinder your forward progress:

> Past successes - We have to forget almost everything that is behind us. Yesterday’s victory does not count in today’s battles.

> Negative Talk, which is a result of negative thoughts - You can only talk what you think and you can only become what you think and say about yourself.

> Think that God is going to do it all - God’s job is to show what He already has for you in the “Place” of His will.

> Lack of preparation - Everyday you have to be planning your route to your destiny, by prayer, bible study and meditation. If your ready physically and not spiritually your success with evade you, Why? You’re not ready!

> An inability to want to continue learning - Study the area that deals with your dream and your vision. Read books, listen to tapes, talk to people that have been where you’re going!

These are not just principals for spiritual success, but life success.

“The best apples are yet on the tree. Don’t settle for what has already fallen into the dirt of life”
