Summary: Anyone can hate someone else for no apparent reason but we cannot love someone without any reason. We all have a reason why we love someone, something, someplace, etc. What is the reason to love the Church

The Church existed because of people loving each other. It goes to show that if we truly love our Church, we must show how much we love the people in our Church. Here are simple ways to show our love for the people in our Church:

Do not neglect meeting together (Hebrews 10: 25).

We have a preconceived notion that whenever we read Hebrews 10:25, it only pertains to the Corporate Meeting of believers every Sunday. When Hebrews 10: 25 was written, believers have sold everything they have and gave all the proceeds to the Apostles’ care. What will the believers do when they have nothing left? Most probably they have followed the Apostles everywhere they go every single day. And thus, "meeting together" does not pertain only to "once a week meeting" during their time.

We do not have to meet every single day in our time. But whether it is a Church-Wide Trainings and Seminars or just a simple Dinner at a brethren's home, we ought to not neglect meeting together. Trainers, Teachers, Small Group Leaders are also people. Let us show our love for them by encouraging them to teach and train us.

Having an "Instead-of-them" Mentality (Galatians 5: 13-14).

"Instead of them, I will do it!"

We can show love for our people by serving them humbly. Having an "Instead-of-them" Mentality in the spirit of service means that we are consciously thinking of ways to help others. We are actively seeking ways to assist them in every possible ways. Being in the habit of taking initiative. If I saw something messed up, here's what I'm thinking: I will clean this up instead of waiting for someone else to notice it.

Even though we do serve others in humility, we do not look down on ourselves. Rather, we take in the position that Jesus gave us – He has put us in the position to serve Him through serving others.

Lastly, outdo in honoring each other (Romans 12: 10).

Always appreciate each other; Andy Stanley once said, "What's rewarded gets repeated". We do not have to give a grand trophy for every single act of kindness as a reward. Rewards may come in a form of simple pat on the back. Disciples appreciate your Leaders and they will be encouraged to bring you to a level higher always. Teachers, appreciate your participants whenever they do applications. They will be encouraged to empty their cups always and come back for more. This is the vicious cycle of growth.

Church is formed because of people loving each other. This is the marching order that Christ gave to His Disciples before He was crucified. "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13: 34 - 35). If we actively show our love for people, we love our Church -- Let Christ be glorified by our love for each other!
