The Righteous Shall Be Glad

I. EXORDIUM:

Are you glad?

Yes, it's my choice to rejoice and be glad in the LORD.

Philippians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!

Psalms 37:4 (Amplified Bible)

37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

To show that our gladness and glory/victory is in the LORD, we end up giving glory and praise to the LORD.

IV. TEXT:

Psalms 64:10 (Amplified Bible)

64:10 The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall trust and take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory and offer praise.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we glory and give You praises, You alone deserve it because we take delight in You alone.

A. Authors: Authorship of many is uncertain, generally attributed to King David.

B. Date written: c. 1440 to 450 B.C. ( From Moses to Ezra)

C. Purpose: 150 songs to praise and worship GOD

D. To whom written: Sometimes to GOD, sometimes to author

E. Main Themes: praise and worship, prayer and praise

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The righteous shall be glad - trusting and taking refuge in GOD

"The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall trust and take refuge in Him;"

Philippians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

We decide, it's our decision to be glad, because we delight or are glad in the LORD's Presence in our lives that makes all things possible.

Matthew 19:26 (Amplified Bible)

Genesis 18:14 (Amplified Bible)

18:14 Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son.

We trust and take refuge in GOD.

B. The righteous shall glory and offer praise

"and all the upright in heart shall glory and offer praise."

Psalms 97:11 (Amplified Bible)

97:11 Light is sown for the [uncompromisingly] righteous and strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart [the irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favor and protection].

We can take delight in the LORD namely because, the LORD JESUS is our Wisdom, our Righteousness, our Consecration and our Redemption.

1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (Amplified Bible)

1:30 But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin].

1:31 So then, as it is written, Let him who boasts and proudly rejoices and glories, boast and proudly rejoice and glory in the Lord.

Our boastings, and glory is in the LORD because of our consciousness of His Great Favor and Great Protection/Protector within us and upon us - the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we glory and give You praises, You alone deserve it because we take delight in You alone.
