Summary: Who is the Sower? What is he sowing?
1. Jesus is the Sower. Matthew 13:37.
-We are to participate in this great work of sowing the seed. Psalm 126:5-6, I Corinthians 3:6-8.
-It is not our work, it is God’s work. 2 Corinthians 5:20.
2. Jesus came to sow the seed of the Gospel. Mark 1:38.
3. Sowing the seed of the Gospel is the purpose of God in this world.
4. The first image that Jesus paints of His kingdom is the image of planting the seed.
5. “Kingdom work” is first the work of spreading the Gospel message.
