Summary: Fighting Threats

The spirit of Sennacherib!

Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. 2Chronicles 32:7-8

Sennacherib was a Syrian king, who lived up his name by working destruction in the lives of many nations and people. He was a veritable tool of destruction in the hands of the devil. His name actually means “bramble of destruction”. Every bramble of destruction ignited against you shall be disappointed in Jesus name.

Sennacherib was very powerful and thought he could use his power to oppress everyone. He didn’t know that there are people that must not be touched because the Power behind them is unconquerable. Every child of God has a label on His forehead with the inscription “Touch not mine anointed”. Every man or woman operating with the spirit of Sennacherib in your life and against your destiny shall be brought to destruction in Jesus name.

The spirit of Sennacherib works through threats. Has any threat been issued against your life; Financial threats, threats against your marriage, threats against your job etc? It is the spirit of Sennacherib at work. Every threat of the enemy against you shall come to nought in Jesus name.

No power can stand in God’s presence. God was stronger than Sennacherib and God fought for Israel that day. Sennacherib gathered what was left of his shattered army and fled the field of battle with his tail tucked between his legs and ran for the shelter of the walls of Nineveh. As you stand in God’s presence today to pray, God’s power will put to flight every ‘Sennacherib’ in your life in Jesus name. After Sennacherib ran away fro Judea, he never again returned to battle against Israel; I pray for you today that every enemy destroyed today will rise against you no more in Jesus name.

You can’t stop the devil from coming against you. You can’t wish him away. You can’t stick your head in the sand and confess that he’s not there. He is there, whether you like it or not. All you have to do is to get on your face before the God of Heaven and cry out for mercy. Stand upon the promises of God and then let go and let God do his work. God has promised never to leave or to forsake you in the face of your enemy! He has promised to stick closer than a friend. Like Hezekiah said in the verse above, ‘…there be more with us than with him…with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles’. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. God has promised you the victory if you will just put your faith in him! Today, God will give you victory without a fight in Jesus name. If God can send an angel to destroy the Assyrian army he will do the same for you. Can I hear a loud ‘AMEN’ from you?

God is on your side. You won’t lose this battle. Your intended conqueror is conquered already! Pray with me:

1. Father, disgrace the plan of every man or woman that is out against me to destroy my life and destiny in Jesus name.

2. Father, I hand over to you every threat issued against me by my adversaries; let their counsel be disappointed in Jesus name.

3. Lord, show up for me where people want to take advantage of my weakness. Let my weakness not bring me into slavery in Jesus name.

4. Father, make the flight of my enemy one without return in Jesus name.

5. Lord Jesus, shield me from every conquering challenge. Let no challenge surmount me in Jesus name.

6. Father, without a fight in my strength, grant me divine victory in Jesus name.

7. Father, in this season of perfection, perfect all that concern me in Jesus name.
