Summary: Psalms 139:17 tells us, "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them." I list several ways in which God thinks about us.

As we enter into the thanksgiving season I want to take time to thank Our Heavenly Father for all He does. Life is too short to list all the blessings He has bestowed upon me.In fact, I don’t have enough ink or paper to write them all down. So I just want to share why I am thankful that God thinks about me. There is an old country western song that asks the question, "Have you ever been lonely, Have you ever been blue." The sense of being alone even in a crowd of people can be overwhelming. I have gone through things in this life that would have been much easier to bear if I could only be sure someone else cared or remembered me. To know you have a friend who cares can be encouraging to you,to have many people who are remembering you can really lift your spirits. But,knowing that we are remembered by God is of greater comfort than any human being can give. Remember God has a plan for your life. He has thoughts about you. "How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them." Psalms 139:17.

The Sum Of God’s Thoughts.

(1) God’s thoughts toward you are "LOVING THOUGHTS."

He is our Heavenly Father , He knows how to give good gifts unto His children. Jeremiah 28:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to bring about an expected end." It was because of His loving thoughts that He sent His Son to die for our sins. See John 3:16.

(2) His thoughts toward you are "CONSTANT THOUGHTS."

Where ever you find yourself today,in whatever situation or circumstance, you are always on His mind. Psalm 121, tells us God neither sleeps nor slumbers, His eye is always upon us. Have you ever had a tune on your mind you couldn’t forget? God has you locked in His mind.

(3) His thoughts toward you are "PERSONAL THOUGHTS."

You are a unique individual who has been created in God’s likeness. You are more than just a part of a multitude or crowd. "The Lord thinketh upon Thee." His thoughts about you are more in number than the grains of sand found in all the deserts, beaches or oceans of the world.

(4) His thoughts toward you are "HELPFUL THOUGHTS."

Have you ever thought about someone without any willingness to help them? Let’s try this test, I’ll give you a name, you tell me if you want to help him.

OSAMA BIN LADEN, now how many of you want to help him? He’s trying to avoid the help some of you want to provide. So we conclude it is possible to think of someone without any willingness or desire to help them. Unlike us, Our Heavenly father has a disposition and an ability to help His children.

Simply put God has thoughts directed toward us with

the sole purpose of helping and supplying our every need.

So, if you are discouraged and you think no one cares, let me remind you, you are not the subject of a country-western song. You are highly favored, and God is thinking about you. Be thankful!
