THE WORD OF GOD IN TYPE

Psalm 119:89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

I WATER TO WASH

a. THE APPLICATION OF THE WORD

I Peter 1:22 you have purified your souls in obeying the truth [NKJV]

b. THE ABSOLUTION THROUGH THE WORD

Ephesians 5:25 & 26 Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. [NLT]

II MILK TO GROW

a. THE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE WORD

I Peter 2:2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, [NIV]

b. THE DIRECTION BY THE WORD

Hebrews 6:1 Let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ, advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. [AMP]

Let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. [NLT]

III LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE

a. THE ILLUMINATION OF THE WORD

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. [NIV]

b. THE INSTRUCTION IN THE WORD

Psalm 119:130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. [NIV]

IV SWORD FOR DEFENCE

a. THE EXAMPLE OF THE WORD

Matthew 4:4 It is written: (three times in verses 4; 7 & 10.

Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left him

b. THE EQUIPPING OF THE WORD

Ephesians 6:17 the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [NIV]

V SEED FOR SOWING

a. THE SOWING OF THE WORD

Luke 8:11 The seed is the word of God.

b. THE SATISFACTION OF THE WORD

Psalm 126:5 & 6 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. 6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him. [NIV]

II Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. [AMP]
