Summary: Seven things Jesus did for us all
THEY CALLED HIM JESUS
Seven things Christ did for all.
1. He was “lifted up” as a Sacrifice
John 3:14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
God lifted him so the world could see our saving grace
The believer now has total life
Man could not do God has done.
2. He died to redeem us.
Titus 2:14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Clean us from all iniquity
Purify our sinful hearts and lives to him self
To make us a peculiar people
To make us want to do good works
3. He was “raised up” as a Saviour
2nd Cor. 4:14Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
He came forth as the King of Kings
He gave us a taste of glory here on earth
He sent us the spirit of redemption
4..He rose to Justify
Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our
justification.
He justified our sins before God
He delivered us from hell
He took us out of the hand of the devil
He changed our hearts and lives completely
5. He was “received up” as a Victor
Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
He went home to heaven in front of them
He took our sins to the mercy seat of God
He still ask the father to forgive us today
6. He lives to save
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
He saves all who come to him
No matter how low we are
His who life is to talk to God about every sin
7. He comes to Glorify
2nd Thess. 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
Glory to God he will return to get us.
He will glorifies this old body of sin
He will change it to a clean pure body.
