Summary: To show that we live a lifestyle of faith receiving GOD's Grace and we don't work anymore to receive it.

Do you enter GOD's rest?

To show that we live a lifestyle of faith receiving GOD's Grace and we don't work anymore to receive it.

Hebrews 3:11 (Amplified Bible)

3:11 Accordingly, I swore in My wrath and indignation, They shall not enter into My rest.

Psalms 95:7-11 (Amplified Bible)

95:7 For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,

95:8 Harden not your hearts as at Meribah and as at Massah in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

95:9 When your fathers tried My patience and tested Me, proved Me, and saw My work [of judgment].

95:10 Forty years long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation, and I said, It is a people that do err in their hearts, and they do not approve, acknowledge, or regard My ways.

95:11 Wherefore I swore in My wrath that they would not enter My rest [the land of promise].

I have a lifestyle of faith receiving GOD's Grace -- JESUS CHRIST.

A. GOD swore in His wrath and indignation

"Accordingly, I swore in My wrath and indignation,"

Sware or swore means: [Greek: omnuo] (verb)

1. to swear

2. to affirm, promise, threaten, with an oath

3. in swearing to call a person or thing as witness, to invoke, swear by

Only GOD can swear because only GOD can affirm, promise, threaten with an oath. Man's promises and swear are nothing because man fails to fulfill their promises. That's why we are not to swear, leave to GOD the swearing.

Numbers 14:20-23 (Amplified Bible)

14:20 And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to your word.

14:21 But truly as I live and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord,

14:22 Because all those men who have seen My glory and My [miraculous] signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tested and proved Me these ten times and have not heeded My voice,

14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I swore to give to their fathers; nor shall any who provoked (spurned, despised) Me see it.

Numbers 14:35 (Amplified Bible)

14:35 I the Lord have spoken; surely this will I do to all this evil congregation who is gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed [by war, disease, plagues], and here they shall die.

Deuteronomy 2:14 (Amplified Bible)

2:14 And the time from our leaving Kadesh-barnea until we had come over the brook Zered was thirty-eight years, until the whole generation of the men of war had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.

Do not swear, just make sure your yes is yes and your no is no.

Matthew 5:34-37 (Amplified Bible)

5:34 But I tell you, Do not bind yourselves by an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is the throne of God;

5:35 Or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

5:36 And do not swear by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black.

5:37 Let your Yes be simply Yes, and your No be simply No; anything more than that comes from the evil one.

Leviticus 19:12 (Amplified Bible)

19:12 And you shall not swear by My name falsely, neither shall you profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.

James 5:12 (Amplified Bible)

5:12 But above all [things], my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath; but let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation.

B. They shall not enter GOD's rest

"They shall not enter into My rest"

1. Those who have no knowledge of GOD

2. Those who don't have relationship with CHRIST

My rest or GOD's rest means: (Greek word: "katapausis") [noun:feminine]

1. metaphorically the heavenly blessedness in which God dwells, and of which he has promised to make persevering believers in Christ partakers after the toils and trials of life on earth are ended
