Summary: Bible Promises in Troubled Times.

Trouble In The World, Peace In The Word...

Praise God Church!!!

a) Daily Renewal...

Read:

2Co 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

2Co 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

2Co 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

2Co 4:11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

2Co 4:12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

2Co 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Co 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

How many in here tonight know that the Devil wants to hinder you?

He wants to make trouble for God’s children. Amen?

How many know that we sometimes make trouble for ourselves by stepping out of God’s will?

We steer ourselves down the wrong paths when we get outside of His plan. Amen?

We open doors for Satan to step in and throw stumbling blocks in our path.

Well praise God, How many in here tonight know that we serve a God that’s all powerful.

He’s all mighty, Amen.

He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can think or ask.

He is able to turn those stumbling blocks into stepping stones!!!

He’s not moved by circumstance, Amen?

He’s moved by faith!!!AMEN!

I believe that what Paul was trying to say in this passage of scripture is that though your circumstances

may leave you troubled on every side, if you walk by faith you won’t be distressed!

Even though your feelings tell you that you should feel perplexed,

Which Webster’s defines as entangled or to difficult to be unraveled,

So even though you’re too tangled up in your troubles,

If you get wrapped up tied up & tangled up in Jesus,

If you cry out to Jesus you won’t have to cry out in despair.

Because even in persecution He’s there

Even when you’re cast down by the enemy Shake it off and get up because his hand is upon you.

He will not let you be destroyed.

He’s saying to crucify your flesh and walk in the spirit

Because that’s how God intended to bring you through your struggles and times of trouble.

It’s when you walk in the Spirit you gain understanding of spiritual things .

You gain understanding of God’s Word.

When you’re walking in the Spirit you learn how to be renewed daily as Paul said. Amen?

And in your times of trouble you can obtain the peace of Jesus Christ.

b) Peace In Jesus....

How many know that peace is in Jesus?

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

See, Jesus said that in Him is where you’ll find peace. Amen?

Everybody say " There’s trouble in the world, but there’s peace in Jesus"

He was warning His disciples of the tribulation to come and then He said don’t worry.

Just find peace in me, when you’re weary find rest in me,

When the going gets tough I’ll be your refuge and your strength. AMEN?

Be of good cheer. Rejoice and be glad because the joy of the Lord is your strength.

How many in here tonight believe what I’m saying. Amen?

How many know that the Word is two-fold?

Jesus is the Word of God, Amen? (John 1:1)

And your Bible is the Word. Amen.

It is the word of God recorded by men who were moved by the Spirit. Amen?

c)Peace In The Word...

We said that there’s peace in Jesus who is the Word.

How many knows that there’s peace in the Word which is in your Bible.
