Truly Living A Life Of Freedom

Freedom
FREE’DOM, n.
A state of exemption from the power or control of another; liberty; exemption from slavery, servitude or confinement. Freedom is personal, civil, political, and religious.
To truly live a life of freedom Paul tells us in Galatians that we must do three things.
The first is to....
1. (v.1) Cling to our freedom in Christ
A. always remember they can take your life but never your hope in Christ
Job 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
The second thing Paul says we must do to truly have a life of freedom is to....
2. (v.2-6) Stay committed to the Gospel
A. stay away from false doctrines and preaching of salvation through works
Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
The third thing Paul says we must do to truly have a life of freedom is to....
3. (v.13-15) Love one another
A. love is the key; if it were not for Christ love we would have no hope for Freedom
Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Lev 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
