Summary: Its time to step into a new chapter in your life. Its time to let God turn the page to whats new
Turn The Page
41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand, and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.
43 And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt.
44 Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent, no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
Anyone reading the story of Joseph has to come to the same conclusion.
1. Joseph was anointed
2. Joseph was favored by God,
3. Joseph was definitely favored by his earthly father
4. Joseph had a God-given destiny and dream over his life.
But the truth is:
This same Joseph who was so anointed and had so many things in his favor also had some bad chapters in his life.
Joseph was hated by his brothers.
Betrayed by his brothers.
Rejected by his brothers.
Stripped of his coat of many colors.
And thrown into a pit and left to die.
They were trying to kill the dreamer inside of him
They didn’t want him to have a vision because they had no vision
And that's what the devil wants to do to you
He wants to kill the dreamer in you.
He wants to destroy the hope you have
Because the devil knows if he can kill the dreamer in you then you will be no threat to him.
But I came on an assignment today. to wake up the dreamer in you
I came to speak to the Destiny God put in you.
I came to speak to the anointing that's in your belly.
I came to stir the embers and fan the flame.
I came to rebuke hopelessness, discouragement, and despair.
I came to cast out fear and disappointment.
I believe while I'm talking to you something in your belly is stirring.
Something in your belly is waking up.
You are about to start a new chapter in your life
Joseph was Rejected by his brothers.
Stripped of his coat of many colors by his brothers.
And thrown into a pit and left to die.
That was just one chapter in Joseph's life.
I bet everyone in here would agree that was a bad chapter.
Joseph probably shed some tears in that chapter of his life.
He probably thought it was never going to get better.
Everyone has turned their backs on me
My family hats me
God has forgotten me
No one cares about me
Some of you in here this morning might feel a lot like Joseph felt.
You've been lied on,
Abused, beat down,
knock down, and thrown into a pit and left to die.
But I have some good news for you today
God never meant for you to die in the pit.
God had bigger plans for your life
That's why you made it through
That's why when they keep lying on you God brought out the truth
That's why when they talked about you
God gave you the strength to keep walking.
That's why when they said you would never make it___ God made a way
That was only one chapter in your life
But God already had a New chapter for you
What looked like and felt like a sad end
Was just God making room for a new chapter.
I don't know who that is for
But someone needed to hear it.
I want you to know something about books
Some chapters in a book are long and some are short.
Some are happy and some are sad.
Some make you laugh and some make you cry.
But whether it's long or short happy or sad,
All chapters of a book have one thing in common.
God told me to come here and tell somebody
That you may have had a bad chapter in your life.
You may even had a few bad chapters in your life
But now it's not over
Your story is bigger than one bad chapter!
And the best is yet to come.
I want to stop here and say something.
Never judge a person by a bad chapter in their life.
Their last chapter may have been long and sad.
But don't try to finish their story based on one bad chapter.
If you looked at Joseph in the pit.
Or Daniel in the lion's den.
Or Jonah in the belly of the whale.
If you would have looked at the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace,
